Degree: Associate of Applied Science in Business Management and Leadership

Length: Four-semester (two-year) program

Purpose: The Associate of Applied Science Degree curriculum in Business Management and Leadership is designed primarily for persons who seek full-time employment in management immediately upon completion of the community college curriculum. Both persons who are seeking their first employment in a managerial position or those presently in management who are seeking promotion may benefit from this curriculum.

Insurance Agent
Management Trainee
Manager, Customer Service
Manager of Small Business or Retail Store
Night Auditor
Office Manager
Sales Agent
Wholesale or Retail Sales Worker

Program Requirements: In addition to the admission requirements established for the college, entry into the Business Management and Leadership program requires competency in English and Math Essentials MTE 1-9 as demonstrated through the placement and diagnostic tests, qualification through Multiple Measures (GPA), or by satisfactorily completing the required MTE units or equivalent.

The following list is a suggested sequence in which students may plan their class schedules to ensure graduation in two years.

3BUS Electives include:  BUS 290  or BUS 297 , or AST 236 .  Recommended BUS 290  and/or BUS 297 , can be repeated for credit.

4Humanities Electives include: ART 101 , CST 151 , HUM 100 , MUS 121 , or REL 230  

5Health or PED Elective:   HLT 116 , PED 107 , PED 109 , PED 111  , PED 147
