Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) I Career Studies Certificate


Degree:  Career Studies Certificate Heating,  Ventilation, and Air Conditioning I (HVAC)

Length:  This career studies certificate is a one semester certificate.

Purpose:  To train students for entry-level positions requiring skills in installing, troubleshooting, and HVAC program blends “leading edge” HVACR theory with a large amount of practical, “hands on” experiences for the purpose of developing confident, professional HVACR technicians/installers. All classes completed for this certificate serve as building blocks for higher level certificates and a degree in HVAC

Occupational Objectives:  The program trains students to enter the workforce as an entry-level maintenance technicians, with no prior experience necessary to enroll.

Admission Requirements:  Admission to the Career Studies Certificate program is based upon the general requirements for admission to the college.

This CSC HVAC I may be applied toward an AAS in Technical Studies related to HVAC.

Suggested Credits for Semester: 17


Total Minimum Credits Required for Certificate: 17


Must complete HVAC CSC I and HVAC CSC II to count one year toward licensure
