Degree: Associate of Arts and Sciences in Science with a Specialization in Food Animal Production
Length: Four-semester (two-year) program
Purpose: The Associate of Arts and Sciences in Science-Specialization in Food Animal Production is designed for persons who plan to transfer to a four-year college or university to complete a baccalaureate degree focused in Agriculture. By selecting appropriate electives, students should be able to complete the lower division requirements for a variety of baccalaureate majors in Agriculture.
Program Requirements: Students are urged to become acquainted with the requirements of the major department in the college or university to which transfer is contemplated, and also to consult with the Student Services Office of the community college in planning their program and selecting electives. Completion of the Science, Food Animal Production program requires competency in English and MDE 60 as demonstrated through the placement and diagnostic tests, qualification through Multiple Measures (GPA), or by satisfactorily completing the required MDE units or equivalent.
