Degree: Career Studies Certificate Medical Coding

Length: This career studies certificate is a two semester certificate.

Purpose: This program is designed to prepare individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary for employment as a medical coder. It is designed for the student who desires to obtain training in International Classification of Diseases Clinical Modification (ICD), medical coding, and insurance billing.

Occupational Objectives: The student may seek an entry-level position in hospitals, doctors’ offices, and more.

Admission Requirements: Admission to the Career Studies Certificate program is based upon the general requirements for admission to the college.
