Diploma: Construction Technology Diploma, HVAC Track
Length: Four semesters
Purpose: The Construction Diploma in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning is designed to teach the technical skills needed for employment in the HVAC field. This diploma is a G3 program with stackable certifications. Students can earn nationally recognized credentials through the EPA 608 Universal Refrigerant Recovery, Employment Ready Certification for Heat Pump, Employment Ready Certification for Electrical, Employment Ready Certification for Brazing/Soldering/Flaring, and A2L Refrigerant Safety Certification. Completion of Level I and II certifications in the first and second semesters will count for one year of experience needed to sit for a Journeyman’s License.

Admission Requirements: In addition to the admission requirements established for the college, entry into the Construction Technology Diploma, HVAC Program requires competency in English and Math – MDE 10 as demonstrated through direct enrollment and diagnostic tests, or by satisfactorily completing the required EDE and/or MDE units or the equivalent.
